Recently I was with a friend downtown when I noticed that a girl was staring at me. A minutes later I realized that she was still staring.
I began to get self conscious, above my already very-pregnant self- consciousness. Is it because I am 8 months pregnant and am quite a site? Was it because I was having a bad hair day? Maybe I had some lunch stuck in between my front teeth. I assumed it could have been for any of those good reasons, so I politely continued to smile in her direction.
After I few more minutes, I smiled again and was pleasantly surprised when she returned with, “Oh, thats how I know you! You are the missionary that came to my church!” I asked her what church, and she said she attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Rochester. We were there only a couple of weeks ago!
We had a nice conversation in which she shared about her unsaved relatives still living in Italy, and how difficult she realizes they are to minister to. She was so glad that someone was going there to share the true way to be gloriously forgiven for your sins. I am so glad to be that person.
